Benefits in Missouri
Missouri's Medicaid expansion was the result of a citizen initiative petition after the legislature had declined to expand several times. Implementation was delayed when the legislature initially refused to fund the program, but courts ordered the state to proceed. Missouri administers SNAP, MO HealthNet (Medicaid), TANF, and childcare assistance through the DSS Family Support Division. The state's Family Nutrition Program application portal allows online enrollment.
